St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish

It is the belief of the Religious Education Program that we are created in the image and likeness of God and like Jesus, are called to be examples of God in our everyday life. We believe that catechesis is a lifelong journey and is the responsibility of all adults in our faith community. This ministry is threefold: WORD which proclaims and teaches; WORSHIP which sanctifies through prayer and sacraments: and SERVICE, which lives out the social justice taught in the Gospel.

It is the objective of the program to provide quality religious education in partnership with the Religious Education families.

Sacramental programs include First Eucharist and First Reconciliation celebrated in the 2nd grade, while Confirmation preparation begins in the 9th grade and is celebrated at the beginning of the 12th grade. Access to the St. John Catholic Church Religious Education Program schedule and policies and procedures is provided below by clicking on the blue Religious Education link.
